Get ready for the cutest puppy pictures you ever seen in your life! This week on Lost Online —> “We Got a Dog!” ~ I know you guys are already aware of our new fur baby by now, but I still you won’t want to miss out! In this post, I share the most adorable photos of the newest member of our little family. I also talk about PUPPY MOTHERHOOD. And let me tell you, it has not been easy! This week on Lost Online Blog ↠ “Health is a Vehicle Not a Destination.” ~ This blog post was inspired by @nutritionschool founder Joshua Rosenthal @joshua.rosenthal.health.leader who always comes back to this idea the health is a vehicle NOT a destination. I love this quote because although it’s short and simple, it has such a profound meaning and challenges MANY of the mistakes that we make when it comes to our health and wellness. Like me for example: In 2019, I spent SO much time and money trying to be “healthier.” I ate better and better, I stopped using products with fragrance, I exercised an hour a day for 47 days in a row, I started seeing herbalists, and I took so many special supplements, tinctures, and teas. I was on a MISSION for perfect health. But guess what.. ~ No angel ever floated down to congratulate me and welcome me into the “land of perfect health.” ~ That’s one of the common mistakes that a lot of us make, thinking that we just need to get “healthier,” while missing the point of being healthy in the first place. So what can we do about this? How do we shift our perspective and view our wellbeing in a truly HEALTHY way without being overly obsessed OR avoiding healthy habits because it seems overwhelming? I’ll show you how in this post! First blog post of 2020! ↠ Why Your Resolutions Haven’t Worked… Until Now + My New Year’s Resolution! I Dub 2020 “The Year of Fun” HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2019 flew by and now it’s 2020! And I can’t freaking wait! I live for this time of year when the whole country is in that frame of mind too! I love the reflection of the past year, the goal setting, the discussions about resolutions, the vision board creation, the crisp pages of a brand new planner. Ugh, I’m such a dork. Anyways, I LOVE New Year’s. And I love that this is a time where YOU are also in that frame of mind that I’m in 365 days a year! Right now, you’re thinking about your own goals and resolutions, you’re reflecting on you the past year, and you’re visualizing the person you want to become in 2020. Oh, how that makes me smile! BUT, even though those goals and the promise of a fresh start are in the front of your mind, there’s that pesky little doubt in your mind that keeps floating around to irritate you just when you’re really starting to have a good time. Like a gnat that keeps flying around your face. You know that one I’m talking about: ~ “New Year’s resolutions NEVER work.” ~ It’s not that resolutions don’t work or are impossible to follow through! They didn’t work because you didn’t have the TOOLS that you needed to be successful. You walked into the New Year WITHOUT any action steps, or a plan, or accountability and you woke up on the other side of the New Year with a hangover and relied solely on limited motivation and willpower to take the next 365 days by storm. NEW BLOG POST: “Reflecting on 2019: 13 Journal Prompts & My Answers” 2020 isn’t here yet, which means there’s still plenty of time to look back and reflect on the last 365 days before turning a new page! Before you get excited and write down your goals for the new year, it’s important to reflect on the previous year. It doesn’t make sense to jump ahead to the next year without taking a moment to reflect on the last 365 days FIRST. Does it? A LOT happened last year in your life and I believe that it’s super important to honor that and take AT LEAST an hour to reflect on how that year was for you. There were so many accomplishments, pitfalls, travels, memories, relationships. There was so much growth, so much progress, so much heartache, so much drama, so much love, so much happiness that happened! Take the time to really reflect on how 2019 went for you.Did it go well? Were you happy? Did you do what you wanted to do? Were you your best self? Were you NICE to people? And trust me, if you’re REALLY NOT wanting to reflect on the last year, it means you REALLY have to reflect on the last year. Even if 2019 was kind of a nightmare! Getting clear on 2019 is what’s going to give you that “2020 vision” I keep hearing so much about on social media today! That’s why it’s a new tradition of mine that at the end of every year, I sit down with a journal and answer a series of journal prompts to reflect of the lessons I’ve learned, the accomplishments I’ve had, the memories I’ve made, and more.
